Student Visa Information

Sacred Heart School of Theology offers a unique English as a Second Language Program as a service to priests, seminarians, brothers, sisters, missionaries, and lay ministers who wish to acquire language proficiency for Roman Catholic ministry in an English-speaking environment.

The ESL program emphasizes:

  • Appropriate grammar usage
  • Accent reduction
  • Effective writing and reading skills
  • Accurate pronunciation in daily conversations, preaching, liturgical presiding, and counseling situations
  • Strong listening and speaking skills
  • Multicultural awareness and assimilation
  • Preparation for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

The ESL program offers:
