Student Writings from Sacred Heart School of Theology's
English as a Second Language Program

The ESL Times / December, 2001

Introduction

We would like to thank you for taking the time to look at our 2001 Christmas Newsletter. This time around, we have tried to incorporate some fun features with some more serious writings. Students of the Advanced ESL class have put together some reviews of their favorite books, and we think that you will be impressed, first with their fine writing styles, and also with their insightful comments. You may find that you would like to read one of these bestsellers yourself! The Intermediate ESL students have compiled some of their favorite writing pieces; and again, we hope that you will enjoy reading their work. In addition, we have included our first ever Sacred Heart School of Theology Quiz and our own version of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

We hope that you find this Newsletter fun and enlightening; and we wish you good health, happiness, and peace in 2002.

Sincerely,

Fr. Paul A. Grizzelle-Reid, S.C.J. Director; Ruth K. MacKechnie, Lead Teacher; Andrea Hazzard, Instructor
