A Fieldtrip to the Mall and the Movies
Zeferino Policarpo, S.C.J.
(Portugal)

The day began with a meeting in our classroom. Andrea presented the day's program, Ruth took pictures, and Tricia spoke about the movies we were going to see and gave each one of us a sheet with questions. During the first thirty minutes, we searched the internet for some information about the movies.

After thirty minutes we went to the classroom again, and we wrote our name on the blackboard for the movie that we wanted to see. Then we went to the cafeteria, got our lunch, and went by car to the bowling alley.

I bowled with Joaquim, William, and Ruben. It was the first time that I have ever bowled. I enjoyed it so much! I won the first game, but I lost the second. William was the winner of the second game. I think that our teachers played very well also. They bowled like professional players! After bowling, we went to the park to have lunch under the trees. It was fun! We ate quickly because we needed to buy the tickets for the movie at Mayfair Mall.

The movie began at 1.00 PM. I chose to see Road to Perdition. Tom Hanks was the main actor. He played a character named Michael Sullivan. He was a hit man who was good at his work, devoted to his private life, loyal to his wife, and a good father to his sons. But, another Mafia family from Chicago was jealous. One day someone called "The Death Angel" - killed Sullivan's wife and his youngest son. Sullivan and his other son, Michael Jr., left their home behind and embarked on a journey of revenge. Michael Sullivan killed all of the Mafia gang members. One day, near the beach, in combat, he killed the Mafia hit man called "The Death Angel", but Michael died also. His son lived and began to travel a different road from his father - he learned to live peacefully.

At 4:00 pm, we returned home. It was a very good trip. We enjoyed it all so much.
