THE FIELD TRIP TO MILLER STADIUM By NGU TRUONG (Vietnam) California
It was a beautiful evening in Milwaukee. We had a field trip to Miller Stadium. We packed our stuff onto a bus. When we drove to Miller Stadium, my teachers were already in the Stadium parking lot. There were crowds of people staying in the parking lot. They had put up many tents under the sun. I could not image how wonderful it was. When we arrived, our teachers and Barb, from Food Services, had prepared food, a barbecue, and beverages for us. How nice everything was. The teachers treated us like they were our mothers, and we were their children. I had a chance to socialize with everyone. After we enjoyed the barbecue, we packed up our stuff to go into the stadium.
There was a huge crowd of people getting in line to pass through the gates - there were about thirty thousand people. We also got in line to follow them. When we passed through the gates, each one of us received a free hat. It was wonderful.

The stadium was very big. I would have got lost if I had not followed my teachers' directions. We went through entry number 27 and found our seats. We were seated in a group together. The game began at 7:00 pm. It was the Brewers, the home team, Vs the Rockies team. The game was very interesting. When the home team won in each inning, the fans stood up and cheered for the home team!
I was attracted to this game. I became a new fan for the Brewer's team. I also stood up and cheered when the home team won.
Besides watching the game, we also socialized. It was the best time to introduce ourselves to each other and to make friends. It was strange for me that people can buy beer and drink in the stadium. In my entire life, I had never seen this happen before. The game ended about 11:00 pm. The result was the Brewer's team beat the Rockies scoring 10-6.
