My country is Portugal. Portugal has a width of 130 kilometers and a length of 750 kilometers. It is a small country. The north of the country is green, mountainous, and good for agriculture. The south is dry and very hot. The biggest cities are Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Braga.
In Portugal, there are many beaches with fine yellow sand. The summer is a very good time of year because we can enjoy the warm sun and go swimming. Many tourists go to Portugal to enjoy the beautiful beaches and the good weather.
Portugal has two archipelagos in the Atlantic Ocean: Azores, with nine islands, and Madeira, with two islands. I think that Madeira is the most beautiful island in the world because I was born there!
In Portugal we say: "Madeira is the Garden of the World and the Pearl of the Atlantic". I agree! Portugal is the most wonderful country in the world. Why don't you come to visit me someday?
