An ESL Field Trip

picture of Milwaukee Art MuseumThe ESL Program’s visit to the Milwaukee Art Museum was an opportunity to learn about different forms of art from around the world. Art is a manifestation of the human spirit, so it is very important to have these opportunities to appreciate art and to practice English with our friends from class.

We had the opportunity to see and enjoy a lot of paintings by famous painters. The museum is a really beautiful and modern building. During the self-guided tour of the museum, we learned about the works of art that were exhibited. The self-guided tour was done through a special audio system similar to a walkman. At noon we admired the outside of the museum. We went outside to enjoy the exterior architecture and to see how a part of the museum opens: the roof opens and it is called the “Burke Brise Soleil”. It was a spectacular sight! This was the perfect ending to a very enjoyable day at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

picture of Milwaukee Art MuseumThe Thai Restaurant was spectacular too. The food and the red wine were delicious. I would like to return to this restaurant in the future to enjoy the cuisine, especially the red wine!
