My Family
By: Fr. Alessandro Capoferri, SCJ
(Italy/Mozambique)

In the little country of Italy lives a little family. The name of this family is Capoferri, an old name. Actually this family lives in Villongo, a village in the Province of Bergamo. But someone in this family lives in another country - me!

In my house, where I was born, lives my mother Delfina, who is seventy-five years old. Living with my mother is my sister Roberta, her husband and her two sons, and my brother Maurizio with his daughter, little Mara. My brother unfortunately is divorced. My other sister, Daniela, lives in a small city in the northern part of Italy. My sister lives there with her husband, her son, and her daughter. I have not forgotten my father, Giulio, but he died eighteen years ago.

Everyone in my family works. My mother works in the house, cooking and washing, and attending to all the necessities of her grandchildren. My sister, Roberta, and her husband are working an Agri/Tourist Center. My brother is a blacksmith. My other sister, Daniela, works at home, and her daughter is working as a butcher. All of my nephews and nieces are studying at school, and they are doing very well.

This is my family - my dear and unforgettable family, and I’m very happy to be a part of this family.
