A Trip to Six Flags
By:  Octavio Trejo Flores

six flags logoWhen we hear the word “amusement park”, we think of having a lot of fun. The ESL Program this summer gave its students from different parts of the world the opportunity to go there.

On Saturday at 6:00 o’clock in the morning, I woke up feeling excited. Why? Because finally the day that I was waiting for had arrived – we were going to Six Flags!!! I put my clothes on quickly, and then I went downstairs. I ate my breakfast, and I went to the meeting point early. I really felt very excited about the trip. When we arrived at the park, I was amazed by all the people - a lot of people had had the same idea to go to Six Flags. Well, I said to myself, “Do not worry about it, if you want to have fun just try to enjoy this day”. And, I had a really fun day on the rides. The first ride we went on was “Splashwater Falls”. After that, everybody was wet, but it was not a problem for us, because it was a beautiful day and hot. At lunch time, we all met at the meeting point in the parking area because Ruth had lunch for us. After lunch, we went back again to the park until the time when we finally had to drive back. In short, the trip gave me a lot of good memories because I enjoyed the rides, and I had the opportunity to spend all day there with my teacher and my friends. That was the most important thing.
