My Best Friend
By: Stanislaw Czernek
(Poland)

student pictureMy friend's name is Adam. He is 37 years old, he lives in Chicago. He and his parents came here when he was six years old. He has two younger sisters. He is also married and his wife is Anna. They have a daughter Marta and a son John. They live on a quiet street on the north side of Chicago. He and his family have a comfortable house with a nice yard. He also studies English at Luis University in Chicago.

He often goes to the library in the week because he has to do homework. He sometime feels tired during the week because there is so much to do. He has his classes in the morning until noon; afterwards, he goes to have lunch and relaxes for a little bit because he has to do homework in the evening. Often during the week he watches movies in the living room, but most of the time he falls asleep. His week days are not that relaxing, but he enjoys the work.

Adam works in a hospital downtown five days a week. He is a physical therapist. He likes his job. His wife is a nurse and she works part-time. She also studies at the college.

In his free time, Adam likes to play golf or relax in the yard. In the winter he and his family like go to skiing during the weekend. In the summer, sometimes they also go to the beach on the weekend. They often go to the movies and sometime they go to museums.

Adam and his family have a good life every week. In the future they want to buy a boat and maybe travel to another country or city in the USA for one week. Life isn't always easy now, but they feel happy.
