Having Fun and Studying
By: Wawan Adharius, SX

student pictureThe last Thursday in January, we did something fun and useful in our ESL Program. Even though the temperature was pretty cold outside, on January 29, we went for a field trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM). As usual, before we went, we had to search for some information about MPM on the internet to discover what we would see and find there.

After all our preparation, we left Sacred Heart School of Theology (SHST) at 10:00 am. Because we arrived at MPM earlier than we had planned, we had enough time to go around the museum for a while. Then, we watched Whale at the IMAX Theater. It was not only a wonderful movie, but also offered a lot of information about one of the biggest creatures living in the world. Whale amazed me and made me wonder, “If the creature that has been created is so wonderful, how much more wonderful is the Creator?”

After watching Whale we had our lunch that was brought from SHST and prepared by Barb and her staff. After lunch, we went around to see the many exhibits and galleries. With so many exhibits and galleries, visiting MPM for four and a half hours was not enough. Even though we still wanted to stay and explore all exhibits and galleries, at 2:30 pm we had to return to SHST.

It was a nice field trip. We were not only having fun but also studying a lot of new things. All in all, we enjoyed visiting MPM. Thank you too to our teachers, Ruth and Brooke, who had organized this field trip very well.
