Spring in My Country
By: Manuel Yanqui
(Peru)

student pictureIn my country I usually work in the fields. I weed the flower bed. Afterwards, I bathe the plants with water. When it's necessary I plant a tree. I like flowers, several kinds of flowers. Normally I use the following tools for working the plants: a shovel, a trowel, a wheelbarrow, and a rake.

I like to walk in the fields, because spring is the most beautiful time of year in my country. There is a clear sun then too. On this occasion I like to go swimming late in the spring in Lake Titicaca as it is a nice and quiet place.
